PRODUCT SUMMIT

The Product Summit was created to bring Product Management and Product Engineering together, for the sake of product and to deliver better and safer products, sooner to our customers, by happier teams. This event was not about training. It was about the future of Product at American Express. I acted as the Creative and Art Director for the event and it was my responsibility to demonstrate that vision in our brand, communication, and experience.

IT ALL STARTED WITH A GRID...

The grid, our logo, demonstrated everyone coming together to think about product at American Express.

IT INFLUENCED OUR ASSETS

From email communications to printable tri-folds, the grid became our constant.

IT INFLUENCED THE ENVIRONMENT

Our grids began to take on a life of their own and shape the tone of the environment and space.

IT INFLUENCED THE EXPERIENCE

Attendees had their photo taken with a polaroid camera and that polaroid was taped into a square within the grid on a giant banner. By the end of the day, the grid was full and we had a beautiful reminder of everyone who shaped the event and will shape product at American Express.

IT EVEN INFLUENCED OUR SWAG

Attendees were given a blank grid on their t-shirt and encouraged to draw their own design within the grid and create their own product.

IT WASN'T ALL GRID THOUGH

Attendees were given wristbands that were designed to visually demonstrate the various groups that came together for Products Sake.

WE MAY HAVE CHANGED A SPACE...

but we also changed hearts and minds.

THE SAGUARO

The Saguaro concept was created by me as a way to challenge the conventional leadership panel in order to create a more engaging and memorable event. The concept is: instead of having leadership come up on stage and answer planned questions, let's instead curate storytellers to come up on stage and tell a 5 minute story around a specific theme. An example would be a theme around failure. They would have to follow one specific guideline, "A good story = Conflict and Resolution."

TEDxSaltLakeCity

In addition to corporate events, I also volunteered my time and experience to non-profits including TEDxSaltLakeCity where I acted on the Steering Committee in charge of video which included:

The Final Edited TEDxSaltLakeCity Talks

A TEDx and TED partnership to deliver the first-ever TED talk not given from a stage.

As well as Event Promotional and Marketing Videos.
